Allergies to Immunizations

In case you have concerns about possible allergic reactions to vaccines, our office can assist in identifying vaccine allergy risk with steps to complete vaccinations.

In the case of childhood vaccinations, the most common concern is measles, mumps, rubella vaccinations for children with an egg allergy. The majority of these children can tolerate the vaccine well. If you have concerns regarding this, speak to your doctor to arrange for a consultation with our our office to help ensure that your child’s vaccinations are complete.

In children with an egg allergy, they may be at slightly higher risk for reacting to an influenza vaccine, although, the majority of these children can tolerate the vaccine without any concern. Your family doctor can decide if an in office visit with us is necessary.

With respect to COVID-19 vaccine adverse reaction, kindly ask your doctor to provide a referral to our office and we can oversee testing and vaccination for COVID-19 as required.
