Preparing for Consultation
For five (5) days before your standard consult appointment, you must discontinue antihistamines (e.g. Reactine, Claritin, Benadryl, Rupall, Blexten, etc.) and over-the-counter cough, cold, or flu medications. If there are concerns discontinuing your antihistamines, please contact our team.
Antibiotics (e.g. penicillins and cephalosporins) do not have to be discontinued.
You may continue using asthma puffers, allergy nasal sprays, and steroid creams.
If you are on beta-blocker therapy for control of heart rate or blood pressure, please obtain permission from your family doctor to HOLD your beta-blocker on the day of your allergy assessment. If you are unable to hold allergy or beta-blocker therapy, a medical consultation can be arranged. Please keep your appointment and Dr. Ohayon will review your medication status with you.
APPOINTMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS
Depending on the appointment type, the entire appointment (including testing, results and discussion) may take up to 2 hours.
Cancellations must be made more than 24 hours prior to the appointment time so that we can offer your time to someone else and reschedule if needed. Any missed specialist appointments will be subject to a fee of $75.
DIRECTIONS FROM PARKING LOT
We are located at the intersection of Osler Dr. and Main St. West. The entrance from the outside is located on the east side of the building between Crunch Fitness and the walk-in clinic, labeled “Tower Entrance”. Enter the door, walk down the hallway and turn to the right. Take the elevator (or stairs) up to the second floor and the elevator doors will open up right in front of the clinic entrance.
If you are driving to our office, there is free parking available in the plaza parking lot.
